Terms of service
Last updated September 27, 2026
These terms apply to your use of academiq.online and to the services AcademiQ ("we", "us") provides to you ("you", "the client"). We work with clients in many countries. Where the law of your country gives you rights that these terms cannot remove, those rights apply in addition to these terms (see section 8).
The quote you accept for a project forms part of these terms. If a quote and these terms conflict, the quote prevails for that project, except where section 8 applies.
1. Who we are
AcademiQ is the trading name under which we provide academic support services. You can contact us at academiqforall@outlook.com or on +44 7988 516464. A postal address is available on request.
2. Definitions
- Quote — our written description of the scope, deliverables, timeline and price for a project.
- Scope — the work described in the accepted quote.
- Stage — a part of the project identified in the quote (for example, a chapter, a set of analyses or a block of sessions).
- Deliverables — the outputs listed in the quote, such as an edited document, analysis files, translations, sessions or reports.
- Client material — documents, data and other content you provide.
- Consumer — an individual using our services mainly for purposes outside a trade, business or profession. Most students are consumers.
3. Our services, academic integrity and acceptable use
3.1 We provide tutoring, coaching, feedback, editing, translation, research and analysis support, and services for professionals and institutions. All services are delivered online, by email, phone and online video sessions. We don't provide in-person sessions.
3.2 Our services are provided subject to our academic integrity policy, which forms part of these terms.
3.3 You agree not to request or use our services to:
- (a) submit work we produced as your own assessed work — we don't write essays, assignments, coursework, dissertations or theses for students to submit;
- (b) have anyone take an exam, test, quiz or online class on your behalf, or help you during a live assessment;
- (c) fabricate or falsify data, results, references, experiences or credentials;
- (d) conceal the origin of text from plagiarism or AI-detection tools, or otherwise deceive an institution, journal, funder, employer or examining body;
- (e) infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or confidentiality;
- (f) do anything unlawful.
3.4 You are responsible for knowing and following the rules of your institution, journal, funder or exam body about outside assistance and AI use, for telling us about any restrictions relevant to your project, and for acknowledging our assistance where required. On request, we provide a short email or letter describing the support we gave.
3.5 We may decline a request, change the scope with your agreement, or stop work if we reasonably believe a project breaches this section. If we stop work for this reason, completed work is payable and any stage not yet started is refunded.
3.6 We don't enter your client material into generative-AI tools unless you ask us to in writing. All deliverables are prepared and checked by people.
3.7 We don't currently provide certified, sworn or notarized translations. Where a receiving body requires one, we will tell you before you pay.
3.8 Our paid services are for people aged 16 and over. If you are under 18, you need the consent of a parent or guardian before buying a service.
4. Quotes and scope
4.1 A quote is valid for 14 days from the date we send it, unless it says otherwise.
4.2 The contract for a project is formed when you accept the quote. Work begins once you have accepted it and we have received the first payment under section 6 (or, for institutions, as agreed in the quote).
4.3 Work outside the agreed scope — including additional length, analyses, chapters, documents or feedback rounds — is quoted separately and only carried out once you agree.
4.4 Timelines depend on receiving the client material and responses listed in the quote. If material arrives late or differs substantially from what was described (for example, a longer document or data in a different condition), we may revise the timeline or quote, and we will tell you before continuing.
5. Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- provide accurate information about your project, level, deadline and requirements;
- supply the client material and feedback needed, by the agreed dates;
- ensure you have the right to share client material with us, including any necessary participant consent or ethics approval for research data, and anonymize data where possible;
- share files only through the private link we provide, not through the website;
- review deliverables and raise questions within 14 days of delivery;
- remain responsible for the final content you submit, publish or use.
6. Fees and payment
6.1 Prices are set out in the quote. We quote in US dollars (USD) by default, or in pounds sterling (GBP), euros (EUR) or Moroccan dirhams (MAD) on request.
6.2 You can pay by card through a secure payment link, by PayPal or by bank transfer. Institutions can pay by invoice. Payments are processed by the provider for the method you choose; we don't store card details.
6.3 Unless the quote says otherwise, 50% of the price is payable upfront to start the work and 50% on delivery. For institutions, invoices are issued and payable according to the schedule agreed in the quote.
7. Revisions, cancellations and refunds
7.1 Revisions. For 14 days after delivery, you can ask questions about the work and request revisions within the agreed scope free of charge. Changes outside the agreed scope, or requests after this period, are quoted separately.
7.2 Cancellation before work starts. If you cancel before we start work, we refund everything you have paid.
7.3 Cancellation after work starts. You can cancel at any time by emailing us. Stages already completed are payable; stages not yet started are refunded in full. For a stage in progress when you cancel, we charge a fair proportion reflecting the work done, and refund the rest.
7.4 If we stop work. If we stop work for academic-integrity reasons (section 3.5), or cannot continue for reasons within our control, the same approach applies: completed work is payable and unstarted work is refunded.
7.5 Refunds are made using the original payment method where possible.
7.6 Nothing in this section limits your rights under section 8.
8. Your consumer rights
8.1 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you.
8.2 EU, EEA and UK consumers. Because our contracts are made at a distance, you normally have the right to cancel within 14 days of the day the contract is formed, without giving a reason, by telling us clearly (for example, by email). If you ask us to start work within those 14 days, you acknowledge that if you then cancel within the period you must pay for the work done up to that point, and that you lose the right to cancel once the service has been fully performed.
8.3 Australian consumers. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, including that they will be provided with due care and skill.
8.4 Consumers elsewhere. Consumers in other countries, including the United States, Canada and countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America, may have similar rights under local law, such as cancellation rights, statutory guarantees or rights to a remedy for services not provided with reasonable care. These terms don't affect those rights.
9. Intellectual property and authorship
9.1 You keep ownership of, and all rights in, your client material. You give us permission to use it only to deliver your project.
9.2 Once you have paid in full, you own the deliverables created specifically for you. We keep ownership of our general know-how, methods, templates and pre-existing materials, and may continue to use them; to the extent any of them are included in a deliverable, you may use them as part of that deliverable.
9.3 Training and workshop materials remain ours unless the quote states otherwise; participants may use them for their own learning, and institutions may use them internally as agreed in the quote.
9.4 You are the author of the work you submit, publish or use, and you are responsible for its content, including acknowledging our assistance where required. We don't claim authorship of client work and won't be listed as an author unless agreed in writing and consistent with the authorship rules of the venue.
10. Confidentiality and privacy
10.1 We keep client material and project details confidential, use them only to deliver the service, and share them only with people working on your project who are bound by confidentiality obligations.
10.2 We don't publish client work or use it as a sample without your written permission, and we don't use client material to train AI models.
10.3 Confidentiality does not apply to information that is public, that we are required by law to disclose, or that we need to disclose to establish or defend legal claims. It does not require us to make false statements about the work we did.
10.4 Personal data is handled as described in our privacy notice. Institutions can ask for a confidentiality or data processing agreement.
11. No guarantee of outcomes
We provide our services with reasonable care and skill. We do not guarantee — and nothing on this website should be read as guaranteeing — any grade, pass mark, exam score or band, degree award, admission, scholarship, journal acceptance, publication, funding award, accreditation outcome, job offer, visa or other decision made by a third party. Those decisions depend on factors outside our control.
We do not provide legal, immigration, medical or financial advice. Where our services touch these areas, they are educational support only, and official sources and qualified advisers prevail.
12. Liability
12.1 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under non-excludable consumer rights.
12.2 Subject to 12.1, our total liability to you in connection with a project is limited to the fees you have paid for that project.
12.3 Subject to 12.1, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses arising from: your breach of these terms or your institution's rules; client material you provided; decisions made by third parties (such as examiners, journals, funders or authorities); or your use of deliverables beyond the agreed purpose.
13. Third-party services
We use third-party services to run the business — for example, WhatsApp for messages, Microsoft Outlook for email, cloud storage for private file links, and payment providers. Your use of a payment provider or video-call platform may also be subject to that provider's own terms. We are not responsible for the services those providers run.
14. Use of the website
The website's content is provided for general information. Guides and examples on the site are educational, and examples are fictional. We may change or withdraw content at any time. You may not misuse the site, including by attempting to disrupt it, submitting automated or abusive requests, or impersonating others.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will revise the date at the top of this page. The version in force when you accept a quote applies to that project unless you agree otherwise.
16. Complaints, governing law and disputes
16.1 If you have a concern, please contact us first at academiqforall@outlook.com so we can try to resolve it. We aim to reply within one business day.
16.2 These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of any mandatory rules of the law of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts of your home country where that law gives you the right to do so. Otherwise, the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
