Confidential, authorship-first academic support

Test Preparation

Standardized exams change more often than most preparation materials. We start from each test's current official format, find out exactly where your points are being lost, and coach you through focused practice — without shortcuts, leaked questions or score promises.

Overview

Our test preparation covers four kinds of need. Language proficiency tests — IELTS, TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic, the Duolingo English Test, Cambridge English Qualifications and French, Spanish and German exams — prove your level to universities, employers and governments. Admission tests such as the SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT and UCAT support applications to competitive programs. Professional and certification exams, from CFA and ACCA to NCLEX, USMLE and PLAB, lead to qualifications and licensure. Prep formats such as diagnostics, mock exams, writing and speaking feedback and intensive bootcamps can be used with any of them.

Every engagement begins with the same question: which test, which version and which score does the receiving organization actually require? Those rules belong to universities, regulators and governments, and they change. We read the official requirement with you before planning, and we tell you where to confirm anything that is unclear.

Several major tests changed recently. The TOEFL iBT moved to a new format and a 1–6 score scale in January 2026, PTE Academic added two speaking tasks in 2025 and the Duolingo English Test introduced interactive tasks. We keep our materials aligned with current formats and flag when older books or courses no longer match the real test.

Services by area

Professional & Certification Exams

Professional exams cover large syllabi and are usually taken alongside work or clinical training. We help you plan the study load, focus on high-weight areas and practice the question styles you will face.

How we approach this work

Official format first

We plan from the test provider's current handbook, task types and scoring, and use official practice material for mocks wherever it exists.

Diagnose before teaching

A timed diagnostic with error-cause analysis shows whether points are lost to knowledge, reasoning, timing or misreading, so time goes where it matters.

Criteria, not guesswork

Writing and speaking are marked against the published criteria of your test, with quoted evidence and a short list of priorities.

Honest ranges and timelines

We give estimated score ranges, not promises, and tell you plainly if your target and test date do not fit.

Clean preparation

No leaked or recalled questions, no memorized scripts, no help during tests — just skills and strategies you can use yourself.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know which test my university or visa route accepts?

Check the official page of the organization receiving your score: the university's admissions requirements, the regulator's registration rules or the government's list of approved tests. Accepted tests, versions and minimum scores vary and change. We help you interpret the requirement but cannot decide it, and we do not give immigration advice.

Can you tell me what score I will get?

We give an estimated range based on timed practice and the published criteria, with our reasoning. It helps you plan, but it is not an official score and your real result may differ.

Do you use real exam questions?

We use official practice materials published by test providers and our own original exercises. We never use leaked, recalled or 'recent exam' question banks, which breach test rules and can put your result at risk.

Is online preparation as effective as in-person?

For most tests, yes, because many are computer-delivered and speaking practice works well by video. For paper-based exams we set timed practice on paper. We also rehearse the conditions of at-home tests where they apply.

How far ahead should I start?

It depends on the test and the gap to your target. Language tests may need anywhere from a few weeks for format familiarity to several months for a large improvement; professional exams usually need months of structured study. A diagnostic gives a realistic estimate.

Can you prepare a group from our school or company?

Yes. We can run cohort diagnostics, group sessions and individual feedback for a shared target exam, with schedules agreed with your coordinator.
