Overview
An intensive bootcamp typically runs from one to four weeks. It begins with a diagnostic to identify the highest-value priorities, then combines daily sessions, set practice and fast feedback. Content depends on the exam: for IELTS or PTE it may focus on writing structure and speaking fluency; for the GRE or GMAT on pacing and a few content areas; for professional exams on high-weight topics and question practice.
Bootcamps can be one-to-one or for small groups, such as a cohort from one program preparing for the same test. Group formats include shared sessions plus individual feedback on writing and speaking.
We are honest about what an intensive format can do. It is excellent for technique, timing and exam familiarity. It is less effective for building broad language ability or learning large amounts of new content in a few weeks. If your gap is large, we will say so and suggest a longer plan or a later test date.
Who it’s for and the problems it solves
This is for you if you are…
- Candidates with a fixed test date four weeks away or less
- Candidates who can take time off work or study to prepare full time
- Groups of students or employees preparing for the same exam
- Candidates retaking a test who need to fix specific issues quickly
Common problems we help with
- Your test is soon and you do not know where to start
- You need structure and accountability to study every day
- You studied content but have never practiced under full timing
- You need fast turnaround on writing and speaking feedback
What’s included — and what isn’t
Included
- Initial diagnostic and a day-by-day plan
- Daily or near-daily sessions focused on the agreed priorities

- For groups: shared sessions and individual feedback
Not included
- Promising a score or pass in a short timeframe
- Cramming material without timed practice or review
- Any help during the actual test
What you receive
- Day-by-day plan
- A schedule of sessions, practice blocks and mocks from start to test day.
- Session notes
- Short notes after each session summarizing what was covered and what to practice.
- Feedback on practice
- Fast feedback on writing, speaking or problem sets completed between sessions.
- Final readiness summary
- Mock results, remaining risks and a short checklist for the final days.
How it works
Diagnostic
A timed diagnostic on day one identifies the priorities.
Plan
We agree session times and daily practice load realistic for your schedule.
Intensive phase
Daily sessions and practice with same-day or next-day feedback.
Mock and taper
A full mock, a debrief and lighter review in the last days to arrive rested.
How the intensive format is structured
- Priority triage
- Ranking weaknesses by likely score effect and time needed to fix, then working on the top few.
- Spaced daily practice
- Short daily blocks that revisit the same skill across days, rather than one long session.
- Fast feedback loops
- Practice returned with comments quickly so the next attempt applies them.
- Timed rehearsal
- Full-length or section-length practice under official timing to build pacing and stamina.
- Tapering
- Reducing volume in the final days to avoid fatigue before the test.
What a bootcamp can realistically change
In a few weeks, candidates can often improve structure, timing, use of preparation time and familiarity with question types. Broad vocabulary, grammatical range and deep subject knowledge grow more slowly. We decide with you which goals are realistic and design the plan around them.
Group bootcamps for programs and employers
Schools, universities and employers sometimes need to prepare several people for the same exam, such as a cohort needing IELTS or a team preparing for a professional certification. We can run group sessions with a shared plan and individual diagnostics and feedback. Content and schedules are agreed with the coordinator.
What the work can look like
Illustrative example — fictional data
Sample two-week plan outline (IELTS Academic)
A fictional candidate with a test in 14 days needs to raise Writing from an estimated 6.0 to 6.5. Other skills are already at target.
Days 1–3
Diagnostic, then Task 1 overviews and data grouping; one Task 1 per day with feedback.
Days 4–9
Task 2 question analysis and paragraph development; one timed Task 2 per day, resubmitted after feedback. Short Listening and Reading sets to maintain level.
Days 10–14
Full timed mock on day 10, debrief, targeted rewrites, lighter review on days 13–14.
Illustrative plan for an invented candidate. Actual plans depend on your diagnostic, and no specific result is promised.
What you’ll need to provide
- Test date and target score
- Daily availability for sessions and practice
- Any recent official or practice results
- For groups: number of participants and a coordinator contact
You don’t need everything ready to ask for a quote — tell us what you have and we’ll say what’s missing.
What affects price and turnaround
Price depends on
- Length of the bootcamp and number of sessions per day or week
- One-to-one or group format
- Amount of individual feedback on writing, speaking or problem sets
- Number of full mock exams
Turnaround depends on
- How soon you want to start relative to your test date
- Session availability for daily scheduling across time zones

Questions people ask before starting
How many hours a day does a bootcamp involve?
It depends on your availability and the exam. Many candidates combine one or two coached sessions with several hours of set practice. We agree a load you can sustain.
My test is in one week. Is a bootcamp worth it?
It can help with format familiarity, timing and a few targeted fixes. If the diagnostic shows a large gap, we will tell you honestly and discuss rescheduling.
Which exams do you run bootcamps for?
Language tests such as IELTS, TOEFL, PTE and the Duolingo English Test, admission tests such as the GRE, GMAT and SAT, and selected professional exams. Ask us about your specific exam.
Can we run a bootcamp for our students or staff?
Yes. We can design group sessions with individual diagnostics, adapted to your cohort's schedule and target exam.
