Choosing within clarity & length editing
Clarity and length editing sits beside line editing but is driven by a specific goal: a word or character limit, a reviewer's comment about tone, or passages that readers keep misreading. We start with a plan — where the words are, which sections can shrink, which passages are unclear and why — and then edit within your argument, keeping your claims, citations and qualifications intact.
It is not paraphrasing. We do not reword source material to change a similarity score or alter text to influence AI-detection results; passages that closely follow a source are flagged for you to quote or cite properly. Where a document is too short, we identify what is underdeveloped and ask questions, and you supply the new material.
